We love cooking and eating outside, it’s a chance for us to sit around a table and chat while the food is cooking. At home it’s usually on our kettle barbecue or our fire pit but when we’re camping we’re mostly cooking on gas. Having all your clothing and hair stinking of wood fired smoke while camping isn’t the greatest experience, even though the added smokey taste is superior.
Around 10 years ago we purchased a Cadac Eazi Chef and it’s still looking and working as well as the day we bought it. The Eazi Chef has three folding legs which differ from the Carri Chef with it’s four legs. It came with a Skottel/Paella Pan a BBQ grid and flame deflector and a double sided grill plate and lid. We’ve never used the BBQ grid and mostly use the grill plate.

One pan cooking is the order of the day when using the Cadac, it easily cooks a full meal for four and there’s only one pan to clean afterwards. If your campervan, mororhome or caravan has an external gas point then it’s a simple push fit to supply the gas – if not then a small Campingaz 907 or 904 is a handy size to carry and transport and will last a long time.

You can’t beat nipping outside in the morning and banging on a few rashers of bacon or sausages and egg, It will cook a pizza with the lid on and the paella pan isn’t just for paella!
Here are a few photos of the meals we cooked on our recent 2 week trip. Cooking at the campsite obviously saves on the cost of eating out and campsite cooking doesn’t have to be boring …

And here are a few older photos showing our Cadac Eazi Chef through the years …
